Friday, February 3, through

Spectators are Welcome

For our 23th annual meet we have made plans with dual hosts in Bingham, Maine.

201 Powersports

Powersports is a snowmobile/ATV/recreational vehicle dealer with a LARGE property bordering a Maine snowmobile trail. They own their own grooming machine and will be grooming their property prior to, and during our event. Their address is 29 Main St.

Located directly across the street from 201 Powersports is:

North Country Rivers and
Patrick’s Restaurant & Pub

Patrick’s Restaurant will be the location for our Saturday night banquet dinner. Directly behind Patrick’s Restaurant is an airstrip that 201 Powersports will groom for us to ride on as well.

Patrick’s Restaurant will be giving us a room to hold our Board of Director’s meeting on Friday night, and also a room to set up our club clothing sales in the warmth of the indoors.

North Country Rivers has cabins on the same property that are available for reservation by larger groups if you are so inclined.

General Information
__________________________________________________

We will be once again working with the local modern snowmobile club for public relation purposes, and likely other PR items we can think of between now and the event date.  The goal is to get as many members of the general public out for the day to experience the Model T Ford snowmobile.

A unique fact about this year’s planned meet is the venue is a “one stop shop” venue for us.  Once you arrive for the weekend, you likely won’t have to get in your modern vehicle until you’re ready to leave Sunday morning!

We would like to encourage and THANK YOU for considering bringing a machine to the meet. This club wouldn’t be in existence without you as a member.  Without your willingness to bring your machines out every winter the club wouldn’t be able to promote
and share the history of these unique vehicles.

To open a Registration Form click on the link Below:

2023 Snowmobile Meet Registration Form

Banquet

For those registered to attend the banquet dinner Saturday 2/4/23, we will begin with hors d’oeuvres at 6:00 PM and a 7 PM dinner. Please plan to be at Patrick’s Restaurant & Pub by this time.

Cost is $39/person, and this includes the hors d’oeuvres and a buffet dinner including steak/chicken/fish/veggie option, pasta salad, green salad, cheese bread, dessert and beverages.  A cash bar is available.

Auction

Once again, we will be holding our now-annual auction at the banquet as a fundraiser to keep our club solvent and help ensure future snowmobile meets.  I would ask and encourage you to consider bringing an item as a donation to put in the auction. It can be Model T Ford related, but we would encourage you to bring anything else you think someone might be interested in winning.  This way we ensure we capture the interest of all in attendance.  The rules are very simple and it will be a very affordable way in which to raise funds for our club.

Board of Directors Meeting

Our annual Board of Directors meeting will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 5 pm.   We will meet at Patrick’s Restaurant & Pub.

Trailer Parking

There will be trailer parking available.   We’ll be communicating more details at a later date once you send in your registration form.  Please print legibly on the registration form; this ensures you’ll get future communications.

Please park intelligently with the thought of loading/unloading of your machine, of those immediately adjacent to you as well as maximizing the use of the space we haveavailable.

Areas to Ride

There is a very large amount of area on which you’ll be able to ride your machine.   Between the field located behind 201 Powersports and the airstrip behind North Country Rivers, we should not have an issue with running out of room!

There is a snowmobile trail that passes through the field behind 201 Powersports. We will be working with them in the coming months in an attempt to get you some trail riding opportunities if we can do so.

Security

We will try to address security concerns with the local police department. More to come.

Questions

If we can answer any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call/email/text Greg Stewart at 518-424-7086 or  stew0620@gmail.com (that’s zero six two zero).

The goal is for us all to have a fun and safe weekend enjoying these machines that we love so much, educating the public and catching up with like-minded friends.

Saturday of the 3 day meet is the main riding day, Friday night there was about a foot of fresh new powder snow.  Saturday was on the cold side with periods of bright sun.  The club tent had heaters, so members and spectators had a place to warm up.

The trail groomer had broken down, but the Ford Snowmobiles were able to navigate the open field very successfully

Somtimes even a Lombard log hauler

This is a great meet with a large variety of Snow machines, and interesting trails.   Not only that but there is very often a number of early cars that show up.  Food by the Boy Scouts Troop 58.

Very easy to find - just off interstate 93.  From north on interstate 93 take exit 21 (old exit number was 29) for US-3 toward Thornton.  Continue on US-3 N for about a mile to Laundromat Rd which is on your left.  Then up the hill to Johnston's.
