Snowmobiles at Johnson Farm

There was a very good turnout at Johnson Farm in Thornton, NH on a cold, clear and thankfully wind free day.  There were 6 Model T and 2 Model A Snowmobiles at the meet, along with a large gathering of Tucker Sno-Cats a truly amazing machine.

Several modern Snowmobile Clubs provided trail-grooming services for the event.  Food and beverages were available in the garage, which also was also a great place to warm up and get out of the cold.

One of the Tucker Sno-Cats broke a rear axle and was retrieved by a flat bed ramp truck.   With a couple of hours of work the axle was replaced and the Tucker was back out on the trails.

There has not been a whole lot of snow in the Thornton area this winter so far, but there was more than enough to run the machines.   The Johnson Farm location is a great place to run a snowmobile with a variety of roads and terrain.  It is an easy location to find, located just about 2 miles from interstate 93.

The publicity (Newspapers & Television) generated a substantial number of spectators.  Thanks to all who participated and organized the event.
